Huge success of Raul Prieto Ramirez's debut at Los Angeles Philharmonic Disney Hall

Last November 2015 Raul Prieto Ramirez offered his first concert at the Los Angeles Philharmonic Concert Hall -The Disney Hall- with the impressive Rosales organ. The poster for that weekend included both Raul Prieto Ramirez to perform on the organ and Yuja Wang to perform on the piano. Many audience members attended both concerts.

The Hall was packed to listen to Raul's debut in one of the most emblematic instruments in the world, and the audience received him on stage cheering before he had already played a single note. The excitement was on the air.

Before the concert, Raul Prieto was interviewed during a pre-concert talk with Thomas Neenan in which he was asked several question by the audience. You can listen to the complete interview here.

During the intermission, Raul was relaxing in the dressing room when he found a book about Sergiu Celibidache, a musician Raul's feels specially influenced by. The book had been donated by Pinchas Zukerman. The nice room, the book, some nice fruit and some commentaries on his facebook page, those made his waiting enjoyable.

The Audience

After such an exciting concert, a huge amount of audience members were willing to greet the artist. Raul spent over an hour receiving them, signing programs, CDs, cheating with them and taking pictures.

He was then invited into the organ room with organbuilder Manuel Rosales, the organist of Disney Hall Philip Smith and several other organists. Raul was invited to sign the organ right behind the organ desk. Later they had some Champaign!
